Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
5.0
Why I Read It:
For months, I’ve been seeing this novel pop up among different blogs, entertainment shows, and magazines. And for months, I passed it up. I didn’t want to get sucked into the hype. It wasn’t my type of novel. I was too embarrassed to let anyone know I was reading it. I gave a million different excuses. And then one night, after the baby was asleep and my husband was already in bed, I found myself surfing Amazon’s top 100 list and there it was again staring me straight in the face. Before I even knew what was happening, my finger had tapped the “buy” button on my Kindle and within minutes I was meeting Christian Grey for the first time.
What I Thought:
Fifty Shades of Grey is by no means great literature. But, that certainly doesn’t mean it isn’t an addictive and fast paced story that will keep you on your toes. Once I was introduced to Anastasia and Christian, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
