This is a bit all over the place, but I appreciated the novelty of it being a tragic romance between a young woman and her sport, ice skating. The author's note revealed that she's of the Feelings > Ideas school of storytelling which I am generally not interested in as it tends to make stories less unique or surface level (see Bo Burnham's film EIGHTH GRADE as a prime, recent example of this) but luckily, there's just enough here to distinguish her from the many coming-of-age stories I usually digest, namely the level of detail she gives to her skating and sexual awakening. A light recommend.
