While this book does take place at Christmas time and focuses on holiday traditions, don’t expect it to be a Hallmark-type story. There are a lot of complicated relationships and emotions throughout. I loved all the travel and I wish trips like these really existed, but the heaviness of the story was a bit much for me when I was expecting a lighter holiday read.
