So this is another situation where it did take place in high school and while I didn’t love that aspect of the book, I do think the plot of it was really decent. I think this is what Dear Ava wanted to be but didn’t achieve very well. The secret anonymous/secret pen pals part of the plot was done much better and played a really big part of the plot of the story. I really like it and it did work better with the high school setting. Just know that while I think the plot is better there are open door spicy scenes in the book, and I also go this book a couple years ago so I just never read it and am a completely different reader and reviewer now with different opinions about things. I think the end was a bit rushed for what it was doing, but I also couldn’t see a more decent ending either with where the plot of the book went. So I did like this more than Dear Ava, and I only say that because they were weirdly similar, but there were still points of it I didn’t love.
