Six Years by Harlan Coben
3.0
challenging mysterious medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Six years ago, Jake Fisher watched Natalie, the love of his life, marry Todd. On her wedding day, he promises to leave them alone but that changes when he comes across Todd's obituary. When he glimpses Todd's wife and sees that she isn't Natalie, he's thrown into a search for the truth as to where Natalie has been for the last six years.

What I loved...
📚 This isn't one of Harlan Coben's better books, but still a decent read. I particularly enjoyed the multiple angles and characters who were all involved at different levels and the unfolding of the story to its ultimate conclusion.

What I didn't love...
📚 Jake's character and motivation wasn't completely believable. He claimed to still be in love after 6 years, yet never once attempted to Google Natalie or even look her up on Facebook 🤔 If he was so straight-laced in keeping to the promise, why was he so reckless in searching for her, even when multiple people were warning him?
📚 The story's ending was good, but the epilogue is not 🤐
📚 The general connection of many of these characters was a little too coincidental to be believed.

📝 Random fact - The back cover of the book says "Jake Sanders" but throughout, he is called Jake Fisher unless I missed something
