2nd chance author verdict: Jason Rekulak will not be getting a 3rd chance.

2 stars is truthfully generous. This was.. ungodly boring. All the characters are so unlikable. The main character is so shallow. I mean we get it did you were in the army and you have a perfect record with UPS no one cares. No one mentions situational awareness in conversation that much. Aside from the whole.. plot reasons.. I can see why the daughter never wanted to talk to that guy. This book seriously dragged. It was the same series of events over and over and over. Main character is suspicious. Something proves his suspicions. Maine character does something drastic about suspicions. Daughter calms main character down. Repeat. The plot twist was predictable. I don’t know why the last 40% of this book happened, did the author have a word count he had to meet? Cause it was very unneeded. Disappointed, bored to tears, and glad it’s finally over.
