Riordan books always have a bit of tension due to the nature of 'quick quests' within his universe but The Mark of Athena really kicked it up a notch - and no complaints here! I loved to see the true start of the unity between Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter as we continue to explore the Greek vs. Roman mythology and how that effects the way the Gods interact with their respective demigods.
There was an incredible amount of character development/study in this installment and it felt entirely necessary as we get further into, what I assume to be coming, a ton of action in the last two of the series. After that cliffhanger...whoosh..I'm nervous (and excited) to see where we go next into The House of Hades.
