This was one of those books I downloaded, and then read weeks later. So, when it came time to read it, I had no idea what I was reading. That can be a good thing. Then there are no early perceptions and misconceptions about what a book will be about, where it will lead, or how good it will be. The mind is more open.
I liked it. I was surprised by it. It was fast and dirty. It pissed me off at times. I mean, really? You separate from the client that you just SAVED from the bad guy, in a neighborhood you don't know? Oh, and the poor yappy little dog. *sniff*
One would think this former nun turned security for the stars has a death wish. Maybe. She see's herself in her client. Try's to get through the head of the parents and the client herself. The ending, a bit "Hollywood" happily ever after. A couple twists the average reader might not see coming. Overall, I'm not going to complain much for the price I paid. And, I'd consider reading other books by Michael Prescott.
