So I started reading this, and at first, I was so annoyed by the main character and everyone in her family. I didn't know how they could possibly grow on me...
but then...
But THEN...
BUT THEN!
This turning point happened about 25% into the novel. The point in the novel where the character has a major internal moment of realization and begins her transformation and HOLY CRAP. I was hooked. I stayed up until 2 in the morning on vacation so I could finish it. I couldn't go to bed until I read every last word on each page. It was incredible. And inspirational. As someone who is also on her own (albeit slower) weight loss journey, this really resonated with me and I can't recommend it enough to anyone. I can't wait to read the rest of the Health and Happiness Society books. The character makes tremendous growth throughout the story, and you really start rooting for her and everyone else alongside her.
