Did not finish book. Stopped at 60%.
The Prospects and I had a rough start. The rivals-to-lovers trope in the beginning of the book felt incredibly forced and silly. In addition, I found the book mind-numblingly slow in the beginning. People told me it would get better, and they were right, but it didn't become good enough for me.
I still struggled to care about anything in the book. I was bored. The book made me feel like I was reading Emily Henry (an author whose work I simply don't enjoy)
Objectively, the story could do with a little editing, and the writing could have been slightly more... I don't know, sophisticated?
But mostly, this book was just not for me. Lots of people have enjoyed it, but I wasn't one of them. And the thought of finishing those remaining 40% – no thanks.
