The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
5.0

And it's over!! I'm sad, but at the same time, relieved because we got a happy ending.

This trilogy could have been easily consisted of one book only, but whatever. I'm glad I read it in one week, so I didn't forget important things which were mentioned again.

We left an angry and depressed Jude in TWC. She thought Cardan had mocked her, tricked her, but we see that's not true. I want to read the letters he wrote to her, tho. I've never doubted Cardan's feelings for Jude, and I was surprised by his behavior in this last book. He thoroughly behaved like a king, and Jude like a queen, despite the odds not being in their favor because of the curse that we know hung on Cardan's head ever since his coronation. But as always as any other thing, things need to be interpreted and not taken for granted.

I wished that more of the traitors would have been punished or executed, but it didn't happen. Perhaps because this is a YA book, or the intention of the author was to keep the traitors alive so they would serve their sentence until their last day. Some of the characters who crossed Jude in the previous book were also redeemed because they recognized their mistakes. Well, good for them.

It was a good conclusion to the series. It kept me on my toes, although I have to admit I longed for more Jurdan moments. Sometimes, when there is just one POV, it's hard to know what other characters want or think. I would have liked something from Cardan's POV, for example, to know more of his feelings and personality. Maybe in the future? Since I've read the author will probably write a book 4.
