This volume feels like the start of a new arc (in my opinion). Nothing huge happens yet, but you can tell the plot is building toward something. I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t enough Gaoshun this time, since his son Basen accompanies Jinshi on the trip to the west. But the last chapter made up for it—we might be getting a new couple, Basen and Lishu (maybe? they suit each other so well!). 🤭

I’m still stressed over how DENSE Maomao is toward Jinshi, hahahaha. And that epilogue… let’s just say Jinshi is a total masochist in every volume’s epilogue. Not that I’m complaining though. 😚
