Prince of the Sorrows by Kellen Graves
5.0

I love the ideas and mythology behind fae. However, I don't often read books with them. Usually I find that the soulmates troupe is used to hell as an excuse for a relationship that had no initial chemistry to jump straight to a usually horny phase.

But Thank God, this book seems to take the best parts of the concept of fae and introduces some main characters with depth and a relationship I actually care to read about.

Graves is amazing at casual world building. Introducing concepts integrated into the world. I especially think that Saffron's annotated book of myths was especially clever as it gave insight to the world, introduced an interest and hobby of Saffron, gave us insight into how Cylvan thinks, and helps establish Saffron's initial attraction to Cylvan.

A couple more points:

-I LOVE the pronunciation guide in the front. I always forget to look for one then I usually find out too late.
