100% recommend this book. I’m not usually a history junkie, but wow—this story gripped me from start to finish. Kristin Hannah’s writing is incredibly moving, and the audiobook narration brought every scene to life in such a raw, emotional way.
Frankie’s journey was powerful, heartbreaking, and inspiring. I felt everything—her fear, her resilience, her anger, her hope. The way the book shines a light on the untold stories of women in the Vietnam War was just... beautifully done. It was informative without being dry, emotional without feeling forced.
This was my first Kristin Hannah book, and I’m already looking forward to reading more of her work.
