The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan

A very general review is I liked the book but it didn't blow me away.
Some parts I thought were great, others very slow.
I watched some of the show after reading quite a lot of the book so my judgement isn't clearly just based on the book. I also read some of the comic books over the same period.

I can say I'll continue the series.
