Another good recommendation I had no idea what this book would bring. One of my first HR based in the 1900 and it was incredible done, I loved both mc though the FMC gave me a lot of second hand embarrassment. I tried to remember what it was like being young and in a different time, it’s easy to have things get away from you. Regardless of her age she was strong, intelligent and caring seeing things in a different way that brought wonder back into MMC life.
The mc is a harsh, stubborn but sweet man underneath the way he would blush or find the courage to do the most smallest things. So endearing to see that kind of behavior and character. Though we see an age gap, the MMC is very aware and tries his best to move away from it not at all like other characters who find it appealing. The character development between both was realistic, I loved seeing the MMC find his way to being more open. The FMC doing her best in a new place with new people, found her footing to becoming much more mature than how she started. It was such a sweet love story that I doubt I’ll forget.
