My Dearest Self With Malice Aforethought, Vol. 1
by Hajime Inoryu
This is a really cool first volume of the series that wastes little time throwing you into the midst of everything, the infamous twists that the story is known for begins as early as this first volume and could happen for plot points you would have not even bothered to think about. I would usually think to be able to predict any twists with most manga, though this has caught me off guard a couple of times already. With some pretty ‘wtf’ moments here and there, I would normally say this is an ass pull move of storytelling but it is written pretty well here. The art is also gorgeous, and pretty unique in the shading of characters, scenes, and environments depicts a sort of three dimensional look to it absolutely emphasises the panels. It is so impressive!!
