I am sad to see the Drum Island arc coming to an end, because it was an exceptionally lovely bit of storytelling. My heart soared during Chopper's cherry blossom farewell, and I'm delighted that he'll be one of the protagonists going forward.
My expectations are rather low for Alabasta, because I'm not ready to move from a snowy climate to a kingdom based on Egypt. I'm sure that it will be just as good as the rest of "One Piece," but I'm not very invested in Vivi's story arc. My only hope is that we get to see more of the characters who were sidelined during the Drum Island arc, specifically their dynamics with Chopper. I'm looking at you, Usopp!
