Stealing Mackenzie's Heart by Melody J. Williams

4.0

Stealing Mackenzie's Heart was such a sweet back and forth! Mackenzie is hilarious, and so kind. She loves people well.
This had one of the best meet cutes I've ever read. It was absolutely hilarious and I loved it. And what it built from that moment was so fun.

Tanner is really fun, too. He falls hard quickly, and it's very very swoony.

I think there's some discomfort for the reader in how he handles the situation with her roommate (how they both handle it, really) but that roommate is pretty intense. It might've been easier for me to read if I knew they weren't actually friends, but just had a surface roommate relationship.

Tanner knows what he wants, and that's refreshing. Though how he deals with getting it is admittedly a bit immature. I like that though. It makes the characters so believable.

Both of the MCs are a little bad at this, but the way they fit together is really satisfying. And the end really brings the whole thing full circle. the emotional aspect of this book alone is worth the read, it was beautifully written.
