The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic

5.0

Five Senses Review:
Looks Like: hideous bright orange and stadium lighting and dorm furniture
Sounds Like: feet slapping pavement and bottles clinking and the thoughts you didn’t know anyone could read clear as day on your face
Smells Like: every locker room, club bathroom or dormitory you’ve ever been in and stale cigarettes
Tastes Like: fear and ice cream and sweat
Feels Like: loneliness
Simply put, this team of nearly-homicidal young people are broken beyond repair. The first novel in this trilogy is the meet-and-greet and subsequent “maybe let’s not kill him this weekend, eh?” I’m positively blown away by the tension, the subplotting, the secrets, and I’m certain I’ll start the next book this week. #thefoxholecourt is the extreme lacrosse misfits book I didn’t know I needed, but I’m so enamored with this story and these guys that it doesn’t even matter. #bookstagram #booknerd #teachersofinstagram #teachergram #yalit #yaliterature #bookish #bibliophile #amreading
