Storygraph gave me this book as a recommendation and the premise was so out of left field that it got me, an aromantic person with a strong dislike for romance books, to pick it up immediately. John Wiswell, the man that you are, you got me to read a romance book in less than a week and rate it 5 stars. Genuinely, this was such an enjoyable book. I love horror, and there’s body horror aplenty, mixed in with humor and unexpected tenderness. And the quiet asexual rep was a wonderful surprise. Even though parts of it were a bit too insta-love for my taste, it honestly works well in the context of the story. If Someone You Can Build a Nest In sounds like something you're interested in, please give it a shot. It's unconventional and absolutely wonderful.
