I am not personally a huge fan of John Green's style, as much as I love his thoughts and the depth of his characters. While I can't speak to OCD, it felt like a really accurate depiction of feeling out of control with mental illness.
Graphic: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Self harm, Blood, Grief, Death of parent, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Ableism, Suicidal thoughts, Vomit, Medical content, Car accident, Toxic friendship, Abandonment, Classism
Minor: Alcohol
The mother character can be helicopter-y and the feeling of hating making loved ones worry about you is repeated.
