How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

informative slow-paced

You can definitely tell who this book’s intended audience was. I’d hoped it would be a bit more universally applicable, but it was the earlier half on the 20th century so I suppose I should have guessed. Ah well.

My main takeaway from this book was that genuinely looking for the good in people and prompting them to talk about themselves will in turn make them feel good about you (and whatever way you uphold capitalism). Self-sacrifice is also a must.  I suppose the former is a decent enough tip, especially considering the source.
