The Silversmith
by LJ Claren
It's been a while since I've had such good jaw dropping twists in a book! This one was so so good! Ella has been left alone for months, and is finally found by a group of people claiming to be taking her to her father, and to her betrothed. What? She doesn't want a husband, gah. But, as they travel and try and help her regain her strength, she realizes that there's much more they aren't telling her.
Smyth is a recent addition to the party, and he seems to only care for her and has proclaimed himself as her protector. Determined to help her train and learn to defend herself, he is constantly torturing her with the temptation of his proximity. She knows she's on her way to her bethrothed, but she wants something completely different. Something, or someone, right in front of her.
Secrets run this operation, and unfortunately many of them are not in Ella's favor. Information is power here, and there were so many shocking reveals, I loved how things fell together but also how they fell apart.
