The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

The Hobbit is an amazing book to read if you love fantasy, or even if you’re just getting into it. Tolkien creates a layered believable world throughout the book, with descriptions of scenery, species and history of Middle Earth.

While reading I became really attached to the characters especially Bilbo whose journey from a homebody to an adventurer was amazing to watch! He really began to shine the further into the book we went. From saving the dwarves from the giant spiders in Mirkwood, to fighting in the battle at the end of the book.

I can’t wait until I read Lord of The Rings if it’s anything like The Hobbit. With such developed characters and a vibrant world it’s enough to keep anyone hooked if you enjoy Tolkien’s style of writing. I can say for myself that I loved it, but others may not. But please find out for yourself and give it a read!
