streator 's review for:
The Moviegoer
by Walker Percy
Winner of the National Book Award in like 1962, this story of a disaffected young man (think Holden Caulfield or Benjamin Braddock 10 to 15 years on) as he turns 30. Not happy with his life, but not unhappy, just sort of floating through life. But interestingly enough it was quite a portent of things to come. Needless to say, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. If you are into this sort of thing, this is one to add to your collection.
