3.5 Stars...I'm not a fan of short stories, but when I saw Emily St. John Mandel had a story in this collection, I went for it. Of course, I read her story first, but surprisingly, it wasn't my favorite one in the book!
I won't get into which stories I liked and which I didn't, as everyone's tastes are different, but there are definitely some duds in this collection. A few stories were just confusing. I had no idea what was going on and where they were going, so I skipped those.
Overall, this was a solid collection of apocalypse stories. Heads up, though, if you're into Walking Dead zombie-type tales, then this is not for you. These stories are of a more realistic apocalyptic nature.
