📌 “I see you, Ryland Anderson. I see you and I’m not afraid of you.”

📌“You set me free.”

I’m writing you incredibly sleep deprived. But I couldn’t go to sleep without knowing Millie and Ryland would be okay. So what if I can barely function now?! I have zero regrets. Except perhaps I should have been sleep deprived yesterday instead of today because then I would’ve known how this story ended sooner, something my little bruised heart so deeply craved 🖤

The book starts when the events in When Hearts Ignite were also just starting and those cameos of Steven gave me both immense happiness and despair… knowing the long road still ahead of him. Yes, I’m a Steven girlie 🫣

The same way I knew Ryland had his own journey ahead before he could have it all. And by that I mean Millie. That girl is the whole package and some more. Perfect in all the ways that fit Ryland. I was rooting for them something fierce.

But I can’t go without mentioning something I can’t really disclose 🫣 Victoria Lum has this very original way of telling a story. For those who’ve read When Hearts Ignite… you know. For those who haven’t yet, I won’t spoil it for you. Alas, I just wanted to say that I love the collapse (let’s call it that) in the story. It’s angsty and heartfelt. It always gets me crying but in a refreshing way. As a heavy romance reader, refreshing is something I’m always seeking and this was just perfect 🤌🏼
