This was an INCREDIBLY difficult read. You are put in the mind of a neurosurgeon forced to retire due to a quick onset of dementia. As the book goes on, we follow her through her confusion, time jumps, misrememberings, pain, and annoyance as she deals with the world around her and slowly loses her grip on reality. it is SAD. But also incredibly complicated as the MC really wasn't that nice of a person, and her best friend, whose murder she's being investigated for, wasn't either. But the exploration of the relationshiops between all the characters and the increasingly difficult-to-follow plot make this a page turner until the very end. HIGHLY highly recommend.
