While I already knew that I loved John Green after reading "Looking for Alaska" and "The Fault in Our Stars", I was severely impressed by this novel. I expected to finish it feeling that it was a mediocre tale of an adolescent boy and his girl dramas, but I could not have been more wrong.

Not only are the emotions involved in a break up wonderfully and awkwardly described here by Colin, but the characters are so unique and well-developed, in my opinion. The dialogue seemed so genuine (although this is coming from a 23 year old reading about 18/19 year olds), and the plot did not feel forced at all.

I've read that some people did not enjoy Colin's character for various reasons, but I have to say that I know people like Colin. His intelligence interferes with his social interactions, and this is so typical of individuals with incredibly high IQs. It did not bother me while reading; it actually enhanced his character, but some are bothered by it.

I really cannot rave enough about this book, particularly because I did not expect to love it. Definitely give it a chance, especially if you already enjoy John Green's novels. Loved it!
