spinnerroweok 's review for:
Nicholas Nickleby
by Charles Dickens
Long. Very long. How fortunate for me! This weekend I was laid up in bed sick and this audio book kept me company during my bouts of consciousness.
This was a fun story with lots and lots of interesting characters. Many times such a long story makes for a difficult audio book when it comes to keeping the characters straight, but Mr. Dicken's unique characters with their unique speaking patterns makes each one very distinct. On top of that, the narrator, Simon Vance, is one of the best, especially so in this book as he does a variety of voicings and accents.
I recommend. But take your time reading this one. Savor it. It's a good one.
