sarajeffreys 's review for:
The Road
by Cormac McCarthy
dark
reflective
sad
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
N/A
Strong character development:
No
Loveable characters:
No
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
This book is relatively boring, there is little to no character development at all, and little to no plot. The author thinks he is a better writer than he seems to be, in my opinion.
It was not absolutely terrible, and I did enjoy parts of it, but it is boring and the ending comes out of nowhere. The conclusion to this story does not exist, and the characters do not have an arc that is complex nor changes over time.
I would not recommend this book to others.
