They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

2.0

SpoilerI thought the concept was really cool and I expected a heartfelt story. I guess the story was realistic (they only had a day) but I would have liked some wonder, something profound - a message or reminder to live everyday like it’s the last.

For me, this just didn’t work. Everyone was just wary and waiting for death to claim Mateo & Rufus while others like Peck tries yielding it like a weapon, thinking they are capable of dealing death’s blow since Rufus was already “doomed” anyway.

Perhaps it was my own expectations but I felt like I didn’t get what I came here for.
