Land of Horrors by Chelsii Klein

4.0

I know going into this that it was a horror retelling of Candyland, but was not ready for the ride this took me on!

This was my first read by Klein and I have been sucked into the Sweet Land. It was like I got two books in one because it also has the prequel, King of Horrors, integrated in the book as well. There is extensive world building but still surprises throughout the book. You get to know the MCs and what motivates their actions throughout the stories. I'm very invested in Neek and Fellen's story and here for the long haul.

Spice level was at 3/5. There was some very spicy moments in the book but it was not a spice heavy book.

There is many POVs throughout the book, so you do have to keep up with who is taking at some times. Also, there is some different content warnings and heavy topics for some readers to check before starting the book.

I can not wait for the next book in the series!
