There were incredibly too many things going on in this book. Grief. Chronic illness. A mass shooting. Struggling business. Fractured father daughter relationship…too many things and then everything happened really quickly. A few months was mentioned at one point in the story but that wasn’t clear as the story was unfolding- everything was too compacted to feel authentic.
