New Spring is a wot vibes book in the best way possible. Seeing Moiraine, Siuan and Lan as young adults really gives perspective for the main cast in the regular series. I see our wonder girls in young Moiraine and Siuan. I see Rand in young Lan. Reading this in publication order gives me hope for the Emond’s Field five (and Elayne) that they can become as competent as we saw Moiraine and Lan to be in eotw.
