I've read two novels that preceded this one by Melina Marchetta and enjoyed them both. But this book is in an entirely different league. Two stories weave together to form a beautiful, haunting tapestry of loss, hope, forgiveness, and the bravery it takes to move forward. Desperately sad and humorous, romantic and disturbing, JELLICOE ROAD is one of those stories that will stay with you for days if not longer. At true gem in literature.
