This struck me as a book that would have been better about 150 pages shorter. It does very little to explain many of its arguments, and is chock full of anecdotal evidence. Claims such as "counting calories doesn't lead to weight loss, they only lead to obsessive eating habits" really dig at the credibility of the books claims. This book does a good job of illustrating how many different ways people can have behavioural addictions, but does little to explain why some people get addicted to certain behaviours, while others suffer none of these consequences.
All in all, this book would have been better had it gone into better detail as to why people get addicted when others don't, provides better supporting evidence rather than quoting individual users on message boards. It also struck me as a low key advertisement for restart, an addiction detox facility.
