I became a huge fan of Lucy's after reading Something Borrowed, and I was super excited for this novel. Lucy does an amazing job interweaving her own story with historical and worldwide facts. I always learn something new, sometimes terrifying, when I read one of her novels. Her drawings are amazing, funny and realistic.

I had an advance copy of this back in 2018 that I flew through, but I knew I would want a re-read with the actual book in my hands when it came out. During my second read-through, I still loved the story but felt that Lucy was being so hard on herself for circumstances she couldn't control, but that's kinda what I like about reading her stuff too. We're humans, so we don't always have the best view of ourselves, but she writes her truth.
