It took some time to really get into this book but overall it’s a five star read for me! I was torn about how to feel about the main character but in the end I really enjoyed reading about him. I absolutely love the fake dating trope, and I absolutely love finding books involving the lgbtq community.

There were some funny moments, sad moments, cute moments, and everything in between! I absolutely loved seeing how Luc and Oliver navigated their fake relationship and seeing how it developed into something real for them. Both had reactions that were pretty understandable given some of the situations they dealt with. Both naturally had their flaws, but I really liked that both eventually were able to own up to it.

Luc was hard to like at first, but I think that made the book better because he was written realistically in my opinion. Oliver’s need to impress everyone versus Luc’s desire to push everyone away was such an interesting dynamic. I loved how they went from being awkward around each other to slowly becoming more themselves around the other and it was just really nice to see how things developed. Seeing Oliver struggle with himself and his own desires was something that also made his character pretty realistic.

I absolutely adored seeing how each interacted with their friends, though I am a little disappointed we didn’t get to see more of Luc’s friends or get any scenes with Oliver officially meeting everyone.

I just really loved the book overall and I don’t have enough words to express how much I loved it!
