I don't think a book has made me this mad before and I love it. I had to shut this book and walk away from it multiple times from all the twists and turns but I do think that added to my reading experience. The romance in it does play a big role in it and was a big reason why it made me mad at times (look love triangles aren't my thing and I wasn't expecting it honestly) but I liked how it was handled and how you can see why this book is not a simple romance novel. I loved Xingyin - for her drive, passion, loyalty, and wit, but also because she is imperfect. We get to see her grow and progress and despite all of her achievements throughout the book, we still get to see that at the end of the day, she just wants to be at home with those she loves. Very good book but I'm gonna need a good amount of time to process what I just read- Truly an emotional rollercoaster.

Also I have mommy issues and love the moon so
