The Private Lives of the Saints: Power, Passion and Politics in Anglo-Saxon England by Janina Ramírez

Love love love this book! A perfect tour of the saints that matter most to Britain and explores Druidism, integration, etc. I don’t think the title fits the book well but I loved the journey through all these different saints- I particularly liked the Alban, Brigid, Cuthbert, and Hilda chapters. Reminded me of Richard Gameson’s works.
