I rarely give a bad star rating, so when I do I want to make sure I explain my reasoning. I wanted to love this book so badly, but neither the plot nor the characters worked for me. The fake dating trope is one of my favorites, but I felt the characters lacked chemistry, were extremely unlikeable, “quirky”, and their motivations were iffy at best. I did LOVE the families and the inclusion of their culture, but that was about it. That being said, other people could and do like this book, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

While everything else is purely opinion, I did have one true issue with the book though... HOCKEY GAMES DON’T HAVE HALFTIMES. The games are split into three periods!! There is no halftime!!
