Thank you to the author for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. 

I adored this book! It was a prequel novella to The Draft series (coming in 2024) and let me tell you, I'm eagerly waiting for its release. The novella was perfect in introducing the characters, giving them background and context and showing their personalities. It was balanced really well in a short span and not overwhelming. 

I also feel like Willow's handling of a panic attack, insecurities and fear were accurately portrayed and handled in a gentle way. Meanwhile, Bishop's personality was a healthy balance between sweet, protective and confident. Which I feel like a lot of writer’s struggle with. 

The ending of this book left me needing to know what happened next in a good way and I'm excited to see the development of Willow and Bishop.
