Ghost Story
by Peter Straub
I could not get into this book no matter how hard I tried. The first third I talked myself into being interested in the long winded story of the men that gathered together and called themselves the Chowder Society. By the time I reached the final third, the story had taken a sharp turn into territory I wasn't expecting. I quickly lost interest.
The basic story was good, but I felt it was too drawn out. I tend to be impatient and this was testing me to the point that I almost did not finish the book. That is a rare occurence for me, no matter how bad the book.
