I can imagine Anne getting on some readers' nerves with her constant questions and comments, but in my case, she really charmed me with her curiosity and sincerity. This was a re-read, but it had been so long that I didn't remember much of the actual plot, only that I had enjoyed it when I was young. I was very glad to find out that it holds up.
