Kalinda has survived so much. She will continue fighting until she no longer can to save her people. Now that evil has been unleashed and is masking itself as her dead tyrant ex-husband, she will have to do everything in her power to try to stop him or her world may be coming to an end.
Kalinda has always been an amazing character, but seeing her growth through the three books have been inspiring. It's actually been inspiring to watch all of the characters' growth. I just wish we could see more characters. There are some that are more in the background than they should be.
If I can critique anything, I would say the build-up could use a bit of work. In ways, it kind of falls flat throughout the progression of the story. This could just be me being overly critical though. There's nothing majorly wrong with the plot though. I love it. I love the suspense. I guess I am just saying I wish there was more.
This has become one of my most favorite series of all times. I enjoyed it very much. The characters were great. The story was great. I found it very easy to become emotionally invested in the story because of both. I fully recommend this series. Please read the first two books before reading this.
