This book is a stunning and unmoored story that sheds light on the beauty of culture, connection, and belonging while delving into the idea of generational pain and trauma. Rivers Solomon truly did something with this work. The story was small in scope, but the characters and overall emotional emphasis really bled through every moment of reading. It was only a 4-hour read and I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. The audiobook read by Daveed Diggs is a fantastic version.
