I love EM Forster’s writing and the themes that come up over and over again in his books - the repressiveness of English society, the supposedly transformational experience of travelling, how the English perceive themselves and others. I didn’t find these characters as well-developed and interesting as A Room With A View, but it has similarities. His humour is so delicate at times and other times so sarcastic and dry.
