Great Expectations
by Charles Dickens
I read the full version edition and i think Part one was so great and i started to agree that this is one of the greatest work of Dickens. The prisoner really scared me like lil Pip. And i didnt blame Pip for being scared of him even till he grew up. But the 2nd part was so-so. To be honest i didnt really like it, since it was slow, monotone, and boring. I didnt like how Pip changed, tho i do believe some people in his position would do the same. Thats what we called new-rich syndrome. And the last part was so amazing. It made me happy, mad, and sad over and over again. But i wish the ending would be happier, tho (again) it was so realistic!
My favorite character is Joe! He was so loyal and would always be there in Pip' ups and downs (mostly downs). He was the best bestfriend everyone could have and he deserved the best for him too!
My second favorite is the prisoner. He scared me at first, but when i heard his story it moved me and i realized how a little thing we said or gave to someone would affect them. I loved how he worked hard and sacrificed himself, it was beyond imagination.
My least favorite aka the worst character, and everyone must agree, is Pumblechook! No need to tell how wicked he was, you already knew.
